Called the 'Worldshoot®' - it's the highest form of competition in shooting sports - our Olympics - only the top 4 of each division in each country can attend. Over the course of one week and over 30 various courses of fire the World Champions emerge.
In 2022 Jay is 1 of 4 members of the U.S. National Team, Open Senior. The World Championships will be contested in Thailand in late 2022.
All of the shooting skills relevant to the sport are tested including: Strong Hand/Weak Hand, shooting on the move, multiple moving targets, prone shooting, distance targets, etc. The qualification process in most countries lasts 2 years. After that shooters are ranked by their placements. The top placing competitors are awarded a slot to compete in the Worldshoot® — the only way to attend the Worldshoot® is to win a slot in your country. Jay is also a member of the U.S. Pan American National Open Senior Team.
